Known for his thoughtful advice, encyclopaedic yacht knowledge, and wit, Colin specialises in researching destinations across Europe, the Caribbean, the Pacific and beyond to design itineraries and experiences to suit individual client sailing and cruising requests.
Colin's Story
North of England to South of France
Originally from Yorkshire in the north of the UK, Colin has lived and worked across Italy, India, and Paris before settling in the South of France to pursue his passion for all things nautical. A literature graduate fluent in French and Italian, an enthusiastic musician and a firm believer in the practical applications of Latin, Colin's experience spans international sales, classical languages, and extensive world travel, he brings a unique blend of intellect, practicality, and charm to every charter he arranges.His path into yacht chartering was a natural evolution, allowing him to merge his cultural curiosity, travel know-how, and lifelong love for the sea. Today, he helps clients navigate the complex world of yacht selection, crew dynamics, and charter itineraries – occasionally even drawing on ancient trade routes and battle sites for inspiration.As for his downtime? You’ll find Colin exploring the hills and coastlines of the Côte d’Azur and Italian Riviera either on foot or astride a Ducati motorbike. And if you’re lucky, you might catch him humming a sea shanty or two. Yes, Colin is known for his love of maritime folk songs so don’t be surprised if a charter itinerary comes with a historical footnote and a suggested playlist.
